The idea of a carrot smoothie did not appeal to me one bit until a running partner of mine practically twisted my arm and shoved it in my face after a 10 mile run. I was simply too tired to argue.
The addition of the apple and ginger really hits the mark and this smoothie has a nice kick to it, which is just what I needed after a workout.
I was supprised and have since been making them myself.
All you need is;
2 Medium Carrots
1 Medium Green Apple
2 tbsp Freshley Grated Ginger
1 tbsp Clear Honey
Ice Cubes
250 ml Fresh Pure Orange Juice
The directions are simple enough, even I managed to follow them.
1.Peel and chop the Carrots.
2.Peel, core and chop the green apple.
3.Add the chopped apple and carrots into the blender.
4.Add the ginger.
5.Add the honey.
6.Add the orange juice.
7.Add a few ice cubes.
8.Blend until smooth and then serve.
